Climate Diplomacy is the field covering the understanding of how to shape the national interest debate, through engaging the various constituencies (National and International Partners) that can leverage Climate Change. Climate Diplomacy aims to equip its practitioners particularly Government with a shared analytical and conceptual basis of climate change issues for integration in “the Whole of Government”.
In Uganda, the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development is taking the lead in strengthening Uganda’s Climate Diplomacy capacity and capacity building activities are being undertaken for the National Designated Authority, the Inter-ministerial Steering Committee, Sector Focal points and Nominated Direct Access Entities.
